Assessment Setup — Recruiter Guide
Design and deploy technical assessments using XEtest, XeCubes' skill evaluation engine. Configure coding challenges, set proctoring levels, and review AI-scored submissions.
Creating an Assessment​
- Navigate to Assessments → Create New from the dashboard.
- Configure the assessment:

| Duration | Time limit in minutes (30, 60, 90, 120) |
| Languages Allowed | Restrict to specific languages or allow all 20+ supported |
| Question Pool | Select from the XEtest question bank or create custom problems |
| Difficulty Mix | Easy / Medium / Hard ratio (e.g., 20% / 50% / 30%) |
Coding Sandboxes​
XEtest provides isolated, ephemeral runtime execution environments:
- 20+ Supported Languages: Python 3.12, TypeScript/Node.js 20, Go 1.22, Java 21, C++20, Rust, SQL, Ruby, PHP, and more.
- Microsecond Sandboxing: Secure execution within containerized sandboxes with restricted network, file system, and memory limits.
- Hidden & Public Test Cases: Candidates receive instant feedback against sample test suites while hidden edge-case suites evaluate memory bounds and runtime efficiency.
Configuring Proctoring Rules​

Reviewing Submissions​
After candidates complete assessments:
- View the Results Dashboard with sortable scores, pass/fail status, and proctoring flags.
- Drill into individual submissions to see code, test case results, execution time, and memory usage.
- AI-generated code quality report highlighting patterns, anti-patterns, and optimization suggestions.
- Bulk advance passing candidates to the next pipeline stage with one click.
