Installation Guide
Get the XeCubes Talent Scout extension up and running in under 2 minutes.
Step 1: Install from Chrome Web Store
- Open the XeCubes Talent Scout on Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome.
- In the confirmation popup, click Add Extension.
- The XeCubes icon appears in your browser toolbar.
💡 Tip: Click the puzzle icon (🧩) in Chrome's toolbar and pin the XeCubes Talent Scout extension for quick access.
Step 2: Sign In
- Click the XeCubes icon in your toolbar.
- The extension popup opens.
- Sign in using:
- Organization credentials (email + password)
- API Key (
xh_live_...) — get this from your Recruiter Dashboard under Settings → API & Integrations
- Select your active organization (if you belong to multiple).
Step 3: Configure Preferences
After signing in, configure your sourcing preferences:

| Auto-Extract | Enable to automatically extract profiles when visiting supported platforms |
| Notifications | Get alerts for duplicate candidates and high-fit scores |

Permissions Explained
The extension requests minimal permissions:

| Alarms | Schedule periodic sync of job data for real-time fit scoring |
🔒 The extension does not read your browsing history, personal data, or any tabs other than the one you're actively using.
Updating the Extension
Chrome auto-updates extensions. To manually check:
- Navigate to
chrome://extensions/ - Toggle Developer mode (top right)
- Click Update (top left)
Uninstalling
- Right-click the XeCubes icon in your toolbar.
- Select Remove from Chrome.
- Confirm removal.
Your data on XeCubes servers is not affected — only local extension data is removed.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Extension not appearing | Check chrome://extensions/ — ensure it's enabled |
| Can't sign in | Verify your API key or credentials. Try signing out and back in. |
| Profiles not extracting | Ensure you're on a supported platform (LinkedIn, Naukri, GitHub). Try refreshing the page. |
| Extension crashed | Disable and re-enable from chrome://extensions/. Clear extension data if needed. |
